ANGIE HUANG

Angie is always listening for good music, anytime and anywhere. She's been dancing and DJing since 2009, and has kept expanding her love of music with her love of dance. Whether in the night woods or on smooth wooden floors, she aims to create aural experiences that cocoon dancers in a bubble of presence, suspended in time, playing in the curious spaces where human emotion and animal instinct meet. You can usually find Angie in the groove behind the booth. Her sets have been described as "raw kinetic catharsis" and "explosive love heartbeat". Turn towards joy, turn towards peace.

BEN LONG

From out of the Blues-not-Blues parties of the mid-aughts emerged Ben Long the DJ. Pushing down-tempo electronica along with those classic bleep bloops in PDX, he attracted a reputation for either debuting the next hottest track or throwing down a but-your-kids-are-gonna-love-it future classic. Ben went on to spread the Fusion gospel throughout the country, embedding himself in scenes from coast to coast before finally coming home to the PNW. These days you're most likely to find him in a dimly lit corner, pushing buttons and twisting knobs, melting a room.

EMILY WEBB

Emily Webb has been social dancing since 1996, DJing since 2012, and is the co-creator of Mission Fusion in San Francisco. She never thought she would be a good DJ because she can’t remember the names of artists or songs. Turns out one can DJ a great dance without that brain function! The artistry of ordering songs, creating ebbs and flows, ups and downs, and dancer bliss is what Emily is after.
Since 2012, Emily has DJ’ed for Fusion, Tango and Alt Tango dancers across the US and Canada.

JUSTIN BURKEY

Even though my dance journey began with ballroom, it wasn't until I discovered contra dancing that I really fell in love with dance. I started doing Lindy hop, Blues, and Fusion just so that I could learn all of the cool moves/dips/lifts that I would see others do in the contra line but ended up falling in love with each of them in the process. Over time I began to feel a particular affinity for Fusion (especially micro). In 2019 I started hosting fusion events in Charlotte (where I used to live) and DJing at events in Raleigh/Durham. After moving to Raleigh, I became more involved in the zouk dance scene which has greatly affected the way I both dance and DJ. Over time the fusion and zouk communities started to blend which has resulted in a distinct type of fusion compared to other areas. It is flowy, gooey, and will put you in a trance. This is my favorite music to DJ.
